Gary Weaver, professor at the School of International Service at the American University, Washington D.C. delivered lectures on “Multiculturalism” and “Culture, Communication and Conflict” at the American Center on August 17. After listening to Professor Weaver, the audience learned that it is important to pay attention to cultural differences in order to avoid conflict. He spoke about American culture being one oriented on action, individuality, and self-reliance. Like India, diversity is a strength and source of innovation in the United States.
