U.S. Consul General Paul Folmsbee made inaugural remarks on the opening night of Vicky Roy’s photo exhibition at Mumbai’s Bodhi art gallery. The photo images are part of the World Trade Center Documentary Arts Project sponsored by the Wilhelm & Karl Maybach Foundation and Silverstein Properties. During the past year, Mr Roy and three other young photographers photo-documented the rebuilding of the World Trade Center, New York.

On the opening night, Vicky Roy showed slides of his related work and spoke on his personal growth; his rise from the stature of a street urchin; his study of photography at Triveni Kala Sangam, New Delhi, and his apprenticeship with Anay Mann. In 2007, he held his first solo exhibition titled, “Street Dream” at India Habitat Centre in New Delhi.
