American pianist Roman Rudnytsky

Mumbai – American pianist Roman Rudnytsky will perform a recital at the Pune Music Society at 7:00 pm on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at the Society’s Mazda Hall. 

The recital will begin with a moment of silence honoring the memory of those killed and injured in last week’s attack in Koregaon Park.

Highlights of the musical program include works by two of America’s greatest American composers and pianists: Louis Moreau Gottschalk and George Gershwin.  Gershwin composed for Broadway and the concert hall, making his work both visible and accessible to the wider public.  Rudnytsky will perform the solo piano version of Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue.
