American exchange scholars Ann Cook and Jennifer Johnson sharing their experience of making the film Beti (Daughter)

American Center Mumbai premiered a short film Beti (Daughter) by American exchange scholars Ann Cook and Jennifer Johnson on Monday, January 25 at the American Center auditorium. The screening provided a platform to highlight the result of educational exchange programs undertaken by U.S. students in India and also support the social message of women’s empowerment which is the theme of the film. The screening was followed by a discussion on the film where the exchange scholars, who are also the writers, directors, producers and actresses of the film, addressed audience questions and shared their experience on women’s issues in India.
