An American Studies expert discussing ideas for reincarnation American Studies in India

The American Center Mumbai organized a half-day seminar on “American Studies in Western India” on Monday, November 23 at the American Center auditorium. The main focus of the conference was to revisit American Studies as an undergraduate and graduate discipline in Western India and learn from experts the history, present, and future of American Studies-related courses in the Consulate General’s five-state consular district. The conference hosted 35 experts from western India who presented and discussed various aspects of American Studies, including history, culture, literature, language and political system of the US, in India.
