Director of AmeriCorps VISTA Program Highlights Volunteerism in the U.S.

American Center Mumbai programmed Patrick Triano, Director of the AmeriCorps VISTA program on January 27 and 28 in Mumbai.  Triano addressed the members and volunteers of IndiCorps in Ahmedabad via videoconference organized at the American Center. On January 28, Patrick addressed about 150 student volunteers of National Service Scheme (NSS) in K.C. College and 150 citizen volunteers of the Civil Defence Corps discussing various volunteer programs offered by AmeriCorps in the U.S.  Patrick’s presentation and interactions focused on sharing the American government’s initiatives on promoting and sustaining volunteerism as an integral part of U.S. civil society.
