Ambassador Verveer Partners with Bollywood to Fight Human Trafficking

U.S. Ambassador-at-Large for Global Women’s Issues Melanne Verveer, alongside Bollywood star Preity Zinta, launched a campaign against human trafficking on November 5, 2009.  Called “Against Child Trafficking” (ACT), the campaign was created by producer Firoz Nadiadwallah who enlisted the support of key members of the Indian film industry, as well as Wizcraft International Entertainment, to promote the cause.  Public service messages about ACT recorded by Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif, and Abhishek Bachchan were also presented at the launch.
