Extra Pages

If your passport's visa pages are becoming full, but your passport is still valid and in good condition, you may apply for additional pages to be added to your passport.  Only one set of extra pages (24 pages are in each set) can be added to your passport at a time, but if needed, and if your passport remains in good condition, you may have up to three sets of extra pages inserted into your passport.  Once this limit is reached, you will need to apply for a passport renewal.

Application Requirements

Please submit the following by courier or registered post:

  • Your valid ten- or five-year passport;

  • Passport form DS-4085: The instructions on this form are written for individuals applying for a passport within the United States.  As applications are processed differently outside the United States, please ignore the submission instructions on pages one and two of this form.: The instructions on this form are written for individuals applying for a passport within the United States.  As applications are processed differently outside the United States, please ignore the submission instructions on pages one and two of this form.  Form DS-4085 must be printed on separate sheets of paper; do NOT print this form on front and back of the same sheet.   • Prepaid courier envelope from any western India VFS office: Purchase this envelope for Rs. 169 so that we may return your current and new passports to you by courier.

  • If applying for a child under the age of 16, you will also be required to follow additional instructions. 

  • Fees: No fee is charged for this service.

Submit your application

Please submit your passport application, along with all supporting documents listed above using registered post or a private courier. Your envelope should be sent to the following address:

If you have an urgent need to travel, you may submit your application in person at our office during normal business hours.

Processing Time

An application for extra pages will be processed within 24 hours if submitted in person.  You can collect your passport the next day at 9:00 a.m.  If you have submitted your additional pages application by mail, and have enclosed a courier envelope from VFS, we will process your application as soon as we receive it within 24 hours and forward it to the VFS courier service the same day.  It may take another 2 or 3 days for the passport to reach you by courier.
