Immigrant Visa Fees

Effective September 12, 2014, the Department of State will adjust processing fees for some services. The fees for some categories of immigrant visas will change, while fees for nonimmigrant visas largely remain the same. The Department seeks to recover, as far as possible, the cost of providing consular services through the collection of consular fees. The Department regularly reviews these costs and adjusts fees as necessary to reflect the cost of service.

Current fees for visa services can be found here.

All fees paid to our office must be paid in rupees through a bank draft drawn on a nationalized or foreign bank in favor of the American Consulate General, Mumbai, according to the consular exchange rate. Credit cards are not accepted. Immigrant visa fees are nonrefundable.
