U.S. Consul General and American Alumni Association (AAA) Members Help Build Homes for Habitat for Humanity
U.S. Consul General Paul Folmsbee helped to build homes for the disadvantaged along with the American Alumni Association (AAA) and other members of the U.S. Consulate General, as part of a Habitat for Humanity project, in Karjat on February 7, 2009. The group included more than 20 individuals ranging from consular officers to an American doctor to students from the Cathedral and John Connon School. The event was a joint effort between the U.S. Consulate General and AAA, under the leadership of its president, Poorvi Chothani. All participants were helping to build alongside the homeowners, who have earned part of the funds necessary to construct the house. More information about the AAA is available on www.americanalumni.net while information about the Habitat for Humanity is available on www.habitatindia.in/.
