American Citizen Registration
All American Citizens living in or temporarily traveling through India are asked to register with the U.S. Consulate at the following website: https://travelregistration.state.gov/ibrs. By registering, you will be emailed up-to-date information on changes to Indian visa regulations and registration requirements, important notices regarding security in India, and new regulations on U.S. passport renewals, notarial services and U.S. taxes. Your email address will remain private, and emails to you will discontinue after your stated date of departure from India.
In order to improve the information and protection we provide to our own local community of American citizens, we would like to encourage our currently registered U.S. citizen residents to access this site and register yourself and your family.
